Telegram is free. You join the group in one click and leave in one click. By default, other members can't see your phone number. Rules and details
Group rules
The group is there to help: the person who will have your exact question next week. The rules are the same as in the discussions under articles.
- Questions and numbers are welcome. Ask about an article, your site, your store or an affiliate program. The more specifics you share (traffic, costs, commissions), the better the answer.
- No referral codes or links. The bot removes messages with links outside our sites and official government pages, and messages with referral codes, even on allowed sites. Under affiliate topics everyone would like to drop their own link, and the group would turn into a classifieds board.
- No get-rich-quick promises, pyramids or "systems". We talk about real numbers.
- No personal data, yours or anyone else's, and no insults. Criticism yes, abuse no.
- Answers are not legal, tax or investment advice. For tax and legal decisions the last word belongs to your accountant, a tax adviser or the tax authority (the IRS, HMRC or your local equivalent).
Group or channel?
The group is for people who want to ask and talk. The channel is for people who only want to know that a new article is out: we post there at most once an hour, between 8:00 and 21:00 Central European Time, and every Monday at 8:00 we post the Empire Counter. You can join both. Prefer email? Subscribe to The Empire Report.
Frequently asked questions
Are the group and the channel free?
Yes. Telegram is free too: there are apps for phone and desktop, and a browser version at web.telegram.org.
Will other members see my phone number?
Not by default. Other members see your Telegram name and photo. You decide who sees your number in Telegram: Settings → Privacy and Security → Phone Number. You can also set a username and hide your surname.
How do I leave the group or mute notifications?
In the group or channel, tap its name at the top: "Mute" turns notifications off, and "Leave group" or "Leave channel" removes you with one tap.
Who runs the group?
Greg Ciupek, the author of The Online Empire. Our bot also keeps order: it welcomes new members and removes referral links. Type /help in the group to see what else it can do.
How do you know how many people joined from the site?
The buttons on the site lead to invite links named after the place (for example "article" or "home page"). Telegram only tells us that someone joined through a given link. We do not record who it was. Details in the privacy policy.
